What did you do to your XJ today

Finally got it into the garage.

So whats the plan Ryan? Gonna cut and fab? Straighten and gusset?
Seeing this and reading the report REALLY makes me want to strengthen mine up now.

While I think Ryan is going aftermarket, I completely agree with you moose, I added a full length plate to mine. It's been beat maliciously and still holds its form. Great piece of mind for like $2

Yeah, I actually have a set of LCA skids but the zerk on my arms didn't clear them, thus, they weren't installed. We'll see if the mounts I got from Darren will work with the skids better

I have been collecting for a while now and ordered the big stuff this last weekend. Few more small things are on the way but i think a build is getting close...

Going to be a month or so before I can install. My pocket book is on fire right now and I'll have to wait till I have some funds freed up before we can get going on building stuff.

Thanks for that.....but its still on stock axle shafts and 3.55's
At least all my U-joints are upgraded, and i'm partially locked.
Gears are coming......soon.....i hope....
Its either gears or a winch bumper thats going to be next.....

Buy those geared axles for $350!!!

The D30 might make for a good builder axle.
But The 35 would just be boat anchor material.
And the last thing I need around here is any more boat anchors. lol
I'd still need to re-gear my 29spline 8 1/4"
And I can get BRAND NEW (motive) gear sets F&R WITH Master overhaul kits for 450....
Granted I'd still need to have them installed, and I'd like to lock up the rear at the same time..... but still....Dont get me wrong...the thought had crossed my mind.

I did the bumper and winch ahead of the rest and am glad I did it. Went out Thanksgiving day by myself for a few hours and got plenty stuck trying to climb back up a powerline trail I was following. Was able to pull up the hill and spent the rest of the time I had that afternoon running around the woods getting lost. If not for the recovery gear, I'd have been going on a long cold hike! Hahah...

New (to me) roller fairlead installed and front axle pulled. Thanks to crazymoose for the help. Now to figure out everything else

No I'm dropping off toys at your work Josh, just found out my friend is loosing her house, so we need to pack her up so she can move to Seattle, and live with her sister, and brother in-law.

Bummer all the way around.
