What did you do to your other car?

The Valiant...

Tired 318 is gone (#1 cyl. no comp., etc, )

In goes the 360 from the Pumpkin...

360 in and running!!!

Back burner ... front axle is toast, rear lsd is wore out, t-case is hammered... now that the Valiant is back on the road, it's time to concentrate on the XJ... tires, gears, some lift... prolly an Aussie for the front... been looking for an lsd for my 8 1/4... 27spline... actually need two... one for the XJ and one for the Valiant (it has 8 1/4 axle, also) .

Started putting a clutch in the beater Nissan and after stripping the transmission of every mount I still couldn't get the damn thing out. So I'm changing a clutch with the trans still in place... Yay :banghead:

Hmmmm, I didnt try that cause I left the fluid in it and was trying not to dump it all over myself lol. If I end up having to take it out all the way Ill give it a shot. Thanks for the tip :)

I changed the 2 thurmostats in the d max, they where about $95 for the pair but it had to be done with one of them sticking shut it heated up preatty fast. then I did an oil change on it $20 dollers a gallon and it needs 2 1/2 gallons of delo 15-40 and a $13 mobil 1 filter.ya NWF is going to be expensave this year.

Got some time to work on the Falcon this weekend. I cut the rust out of the drivers side rear inner fender /wheel well area and made patch panels to rebuild it.

Hopefully I can get the rear quarter panel patched up soon, I've already made a new section of quarter panel for it but I've had to wait till I finished getting rid of all the rot that was behind it.

gotta love salt rim cars! weather you buy or make the panels, the repair is always better if you take it to the factory seams. should be fine as long as your welds are good. just going to take a ton of time and a lot of filler to get it straight.

looks like you have quite the project on your hands. whats the plan in the end for it?

Should be plenty strong, I cut out the cancer and neutralized the left over rust with phosphoric acid so what's left is pretty solid.

This car is pretty rotten so its kinda just a fun project to play with metal working which is why I am manufacturing my own panels. The goal is to just make it into a decent driver.

It may take some filler to get it true but I can guarantee that I will be putting less filler in then im taking out.

Hey John, ......ya missed a spot...... :D
