What day are you arriving?

What time you leaving? I'm leaving before 9am. You should caravan with us.

Attica, via Fort Wayne.

I don't think we will be leaving until around 2:30 pm. Lexi has to work that day.

Depending on work I may leave Wednesday.. Mind if I crash with you for the night? I'll be little spoon

You'll just have to fight Koop for space! Not sure how big the rooms are at the haunted hotel but I'm sure we can make something work.

Wouldn't be the first time I've slept in a bathtub

So i finally decided 100% im going. Where do i go now? Need to register, not sure if i should take friday off and go Friday and saturday and come back sunday night or just go saturday. Advice? Cash is tight so extra day off work + hotel room is around $200 out if the pocket

And is hotel Attica the place to be or Attica in? I want the good food and rooms.

Hotel Attica is full. Camping is free for paid members though. ALOT of us have slept in the backs of our jeeps or tow rigs when on a budget.

You won't regret going two days if you can swing it.

Finally got my schedule nailed down...

Monday-Driving to Chicago, staying at a hotel (parking the Truck, camper, trailer, and jeep at the hotel, don't steal it)
Tuesday- flying to Rochester, NY
Wednesday- Recruiting at my old college for work.
Thursday- Fly back to Chicago, arrive at 8am, then head to Attica

work pays for mileage to and from Chicago ;)

sometime travel sucks, travel plans every week from now until winterfest...

Hmm might bring a buddy, and although i dont mind sleeping in the back of my XJ, not sure if it can fit 2 full grown men without going into silverware formation. Ive camped before, but afraid if thw weather that it will be way too cold for a tent

Electric heaters are your friend in a tent. Campground has electricity

Well can get either a 2 person or a 10 person tent for me and my buddy, not sure which to borrow, also how do you guys go about for sinks ie. Brush your teeth and stuff

There will be tents down there so you won't be there only ones in a tent. Heck we will be in a pop up which is just a tent on wheels. Bring some heaters and you will be fine.

You guys are starting to give me some confidence. Also got a free air matress at work, only really need to buy heaters and sleeping bags. Any advice where to?

A pretty nice shower house. Warm one even

Lol. Warmer than outside I suppose.

If you get in a tight spot I have a tent you can use. As far as sleeping bags, get the coldest rated one you can afford. Extension cords and good heaters will be your friend. Walmart.

My first or second WF I woke up Friday morning with 3" of snow on the tent.

I'd spread some hay down to put your tent on top of. Ram-Rod gave me a couple flakes the last year I tent camped and it made a huge difference with the cold coming up from the ground. A small heater up on a cooler will keep it nice and warm too. I usually turned mine on after coming back from the trails and let it run during dinner, that way it's a nice temp when you're ready to use it. Cold rated bag is a plus and you can stuff clothes or crumpled up blankets in with you for extra warmth.

And the shower house is nice and warm. The first year I tent camped, I was getting over a lung infection and ill prepared, and I literally thought I was going to die, lol. I think I laid in there from 4am till people started to come in to shower.
