What axle do I have?

How do I tell what size of axles I have if there is know tag on it. (I am new at this)? I have a 91 xj 4.0auto

Use this chart. It will tell you what you have. Compare this chart with your diffs and then you'll know.

Dana 35 = Spicer 35?

I'm not sure about any of the other axles on there, but that Dana 44 is clocked sideways, so if you were actually looking at one under your cherokee, it would be turned left 90 degrees. Just so you know...

Under a '91, you probably have a Dana 35... the D44 was only used under some XJ's in the late 80's and also on some with the towing package (mine's an 87 and has a factory D44, but not the towing package, just the offroad package).
