since jeeps and guns seem to be hobbies that go together well what are you guys taking to the range these days? I bought my xd to carry but these are some of my fun guns.

first is my 1942 Mosin-Nagant 91/30 its a wartime Izhevsk factory gun so it has a very "wartime" machining finish, but its cheap and its a great shooter. i'd like to pick up a tula hex receiver rifle and an m44 carbine for the collection.

100 yd target my 2nd time out with the rifle, going to pick up a spotting scope and a rest so i can get the front blade dialed in

next is the 10/22 ive been tricking out for Sam, she bought it at the pawn shop and told me what she wanted for it. i threw a new mag release and some internals in it, it needs a new stock, the fit on the ruger factory one isnt the sharpest.

last my star m43 9mm i got from mark, its a sweet little gun. ive been researching it a lot and have become a little bit of an aficionado of the star pistols, currently trying to track down an extractor and spring for it.

Mostly Lacrosse balls with 27 ten year olds. I take one every once in a while and a hard rubber ball going 30-50mph hurts when you don't wear a cup.

Ex lacrosse goalie here-- you don't have to tell me!! Them indians made some hard rubber! I woulda killed for only 30-50 mph!!

I'm hijacking here but I love lacrosse, wish i could have played it as a kid. Its catching on quick around here right now. It is America's oldest sport! The Native Americans played until death, it was organized war-fare.

I bet you still have some "bullseye's" from being in the crease.

i have a nice tater cannon... haven't figured out how to get pics onto computer from iphone yet, or on to photobucket. oh well. it looks like a big pvc pipe.

jealous.... i love old guns... my uncle has his dads bringback luger. if you see one at a gunshow here its usually being shown off, none of them want to let it go.

;) I'll trade ya a Red Truck for it.

Really, the Luger is still my Dad's gun. His dad brought it home from the war and gave it to him. Tho, I have more interest in it than he does. It'll eventually be mine. All the numbers match and it has a spare mag. The only thing wrong with it is a small chip in the wood on the matching mag. I had it appraised a some small time shop. He swore up and down that it wasn't worth 100 bucks because it had the chip in the mag. Then he turned around and offered me 150 for it... He was trying his best to get over on me. I've seen them online in worse shape without matching numbers go for 800-1000 bucks... So I really don't know what a real collector would value this at.

WOW!, I paid $1300 for a Lugar back in the 90's and sold it for a $300 profit before I walked out of the same gun show I bought it at!

I guess they have come down in value some.

I have a Glock 17 and a Glock 17C that I shoot most. I love to bring out my old $100 SKS from time to time, she shoots great for a $100 rifle. My Remington 700 30-06 is shot a few times during deer season. My Ruger GP-100 .357 Mag sits on my hip for hog hunts. A Kel-Tec PF-9 is strapped to my ankle 24/7 and the Glock 17 usually rides on my hip. For plinking I really enjoy shooting my Savage .17, it will dispatch a squirrel with ease at 200 yds. My dad gave me a Ruger 10/22 for my 10th birthday and I shoot it often also. Guns and Jeeps, a beautiful combination!

Rock Island Armory 1911 compact .45acp- every day carry and shooter.

Mossberg 500. Have a 24" slug barrel and 28" cylinder choke non ribbed field barrel. Pheonix Tech recoil reducing stock and other goodies.

Mossberg 802 bolt .22. Haven't zeroed it yet, looking to play with grouping and bullet drop.

This picture has my S&W 15-22 and Sig 516 as well as a buddy's Del-ton that I consult on.

Here is another picture of my Sig 516 with its new furniture paint job. I shoot it and the .45 at tactical matches with some serious operators. I have no chance at doing very well in the competition but I'm learning a ton.
