Sorry I couldn't meet up with you guys today at the M&G, but I did get a chance to install my front bumper and tire carrier. I'm digging them.

And because I'm neurotic and love redundancy, I installed a fail-safe mechanism just in-case the latch takes a direct hit from a rock or decides to let go on the street.

That's because with the wires hooked together the turn indicator signal is back feeding through the brake light wiring to the other side.

On older XJ's there is a wire you can remove or jumper under the steering column to essentially make it act like an MJ that was designed to have a shared bulb for the brake and turn signal.

I did the same thing on my 92 XJ. I think the write-up I found was on .

I don't have a shared bulb for the tail light/brake and turn signal. The turn signal wiring goes to the turn signal. The brake light/ tail light wiring goes to that light. I do see that all of the lights in the tail light have a common ground

There is a ground behind the panel behind the spare tire on the drivers side. If it gets bad, it can cause what you are seeing.

It's the RWKHausSupply gear package master install kit with Koyo bearings.

That's weird! I remember looking at the Koyo product when I was shopping for wheel bearings. They were nicely finished and looked like a premium product. The "Made in China" product lines looked half finished in comparison.

I recently read about some Timken products being made in China. I'm remembering the old adage about buying a "pig in a sack." I want to see what I'm buying before I dig deep in my pocket.

Just FYI the Master Install Kit that came with my Rustys Off Road Gear Package were very good no complaints looked them over the day they were delivered.

Just starting on a few upgrades this week. Lockers Front/Rear Detroit, Gears 4.56's/ SB Disco's/SYE/New Driveshaft/ZJ Tie Rod Upgrade/Dropped Pitman Arm/Extended Brake Lines/Lift from 3" to 4 1/2"/Bilstein Shocks/Adj. LCA/Bump stops/Upgrade Wiring/6 new Driving Lights/Reshim rear end.

Don't know what else I might find while doing these, 8 mo ago found a bunch during the first batch of upgrades.

Ahh, sorry it looked like the smaller lights were your reverse lights in the picture on my phone.

In that case I have to agree its either a ground issue or an issue with the switch. If fit didn't happen until after the lights were installed I'd look for ground or wiring issues first.

Yeah.....hmmmm......This is a Ballistic 2.63 Joint after about 1000 miles. The Poly bushing died, gapped, and squeezed all of the grease out of the sides. Hopefully their "revised" poly bushings will hold up better this time. Aggravating.




New one is on the far right.

Looking at it. Note the Bronco light. It only comes on at night when the jeep is moving.



And a blurry pic of the back up camera output in the rear view mirror. It isn't as bright as the TFT screen, and harder to see during the day. Should have spent a few more bucks and got one with controls.

That's discouraging to see...considering those ballistic joints are what I have on all my links.

Though in all honesty, if they give me any trouble I'll just switch them all out to some quality heims.
