What are you doing to your rig - the continuing saga

I rarely use creepers for the same reason, you tend to slide around when you don't want to. Then, once you have a fair amount of tools and parts laying around under the truck the creeper is magically able to scoop them all up and wedge them under itself.

I agree -- I hate trying to torque a bolt and instead spinning around like I'm on a friggin Tilt-a-Whirl...

Dad, I believe we are the only ones that work in the garage in our Sunday suits... Obviously since no one else cares about lying on the dirty cold concrete

what is this "sunday suit" you speak of? :D

ROR. Makes me glad I am a godless heathen! :D

I rarely use a creeper at home or at work. I wear coveralls at work and have garage clothes for the house.

I use a creeper all the time. My back is not the best anymore, and rolling around on the concrete really pisses it off! The creepers can be a pain, but I'll deal with that pain over back pain any day.

Ya I have to use a creeper now a days. And (man im gonna catch a flame for this) I wear the knee pads I got for doing concrete. With my knees getting worse - likely surgery on one here soon - I just cant take the pressure on them anymore. It sucks getting old.

I love using a creeper, I brace against the tires and such with my legs. It all goes well till I jam one of the wheels on a nut I dropped and can't move, or run over my own coat with it.

I want one of these pretty bad, I have to say.

^^ That looks awesome, I think thats the worst part about wrenching. Always climbing up and down from on top of or underneath a vehicle.

Laying on the concrete actually feels good on my back. I have one of those kneeling pads from Matco at work, I'll probably be getting one for the house soon enough.

It definitely sucks getting old, and all I hear in my head when I get a new pain is the "old guy" saying I'll regret not using ______ when I'm older.

I would never get any work done with one of those chairs... I'd spend all say scooting around my garage, going up and down. I would probably wear the damn thing out in a week.

I use a dense foam pad on the ground for working under a vehicle. That way when I get up, my knees have something soft to roll over onto. I planned to modify a creeper to have a lever that pressed down and lifted the wheels to lock it in place. Never got around to it.

I had to stay home with my son today, he spent the night throwing up. Still, the plus side is that while he was being lazy on the couch I got the rest of my beadlocks mounted up.
