With the exception of one shackle / leaf sleeve, they all came out with no issues. It wasn't too bad. The only really annoying parts was later in the afternoon It started dripping water from the melting snow right next to where I was working - coated all my tools in ice.
Of course, I substituted one issue for another. I was hoping the new leafs would be 3" - 3.5" of lift and a little longer than the stock ones and give me a better shackle angle, then I could end up at around 4" of lift and a good shackle angle with a new shackle. While I can't even consider going back now, the new leaves have a worse shackle angle than before and on first install have about 4" of lift all on their own. I was really hoping to stay under 4.5" of lift. I think an HD Offroad shackle relocation is in my future.

I take it you got them installed. Any issues getting them on?
Not really besides doing it myself and almost dropping the crossmember on my dome. I had to cut the transfer case skid off where youb welded and still install that but that will be easy. everythings great. Such a huge difference on the road and climbing things. Thanks again

Thanks again Kevin, I couldent of done it without you! I have a nice little bruise from the fall and the drop of the axle on me. Nice round one from the rim lol. But all is good though man. Love it!

Well, it's not my rig, although it will be pulled by my rig. I've been working on the M416 to make it into a camping trailer. I'm not the best fabricator in the world, and my workshop is my patio:
This M416 was modified to haul a ATV, so the bed was widened. Because of the tailgate, the rear corners are not well supported, so I added to them:
Because the bed was widened, the normal adapters to use XJ wheels on the M416, aren't sufficient for a 33x12.5" tire. I'm either going to have to get custom 2" adapters or buy a whole new axle. The cost is similar, but I'm open to input about it.
Here's my start on a new tailgate. The wood POS I made a few years back died a natural death, so I'm using 1/2" square tube, and will skin it eventually:
with one latch installed.
Eventually, I will seal the bed, paint it, add cross bars so I can use a roof top tent, install the glides for the kitchen, make new fenders and mounts for a battery, and propane tank, etc.
Making that tailgate was the most fun I've had in a while.

Damn, I'm actually getting a tax refund this year. I'm so very close to pulling the trigger on the new JCR rear bumper/tire carrier. Any thoughts on alternatives before I make a decision? JCR seems like the best one to me at this point.
