What are you doing to your rig - the continuing saga

I still have the solenoid pack for the old trailer winch all in one piece. You can look that over when you come get the cable.

My solenoids are mounted under the hood. This is the best pic I have -hope it helps.

Ok, 80$ :D

My Harbor Freight winch was slow as hell too, but for the money I couldn't argue. It still allowed me to pull multiple Jeeps and dmyself through many mud holes and obstacles. I'd rather have a slow winch than be left stuck.

Meh. HeepII wannabe........

........ I dig it. :gag:

Well my name is Eric, and i guess I'm what you guys call a "newb" "noob" or whatever... Well, last year I got outta the Marine Corps and didn't have a license or a vehicle. Lost my DL up in Alaska 7 yrs ago a DUI...younger and dumber days...Anyways, I pick up a 95 XJ Country Edition for $1000 with 185,000 miles on it from my old man... he treated it right the last 8 years or so he owned it. So since I couldn't legally drive it at the moment, I decided I would fix it up. Well, one thing lead to another...I started looking more and more into Jeeps and all the Jeep Forums and what not reading everything I could and learning everything I could... I'm man enough to admit that I've got a problem...im F***in' Hooked on this sh**!!! I can't get enough.... well, enough of that crap... this is the before and after pics... just got those tires today...traded a guy in loveland 4 stock 235x75R15 BFG A/T's on stock alloy rims and $150 for 5 33x12.50R15 BFG M/T's on Black Mickey Thompson 15x10 wheels... :clap:WINNING!!! He gave his wife the Ford Exploder they were on and he didn't want her driving with these tires... so i was more than happy to make that trade. I've got lots more pics of my build and what i've done, but I'm a lazy ass and I'm already over all this typing I've done... so you only get 3 pics!!:firedevil

You've got plenty of room for articulation - looks like you could fit 35's if you wanted..

Yeah People tell me 35's will fit no problem.. but I think they will definitely rub if I tried to stuff 35's. It looks like these 33's might even have some rubbing in the rear... I don't want to hack anymore fender out in the front and the rear has already been cut and tucked. I won't know till I get out and flex it... I'm thinking I'm going to need new rear shocks also when I go to flex.... Those don't have enough up travel.. maybe 4" up and plenty of down travel. They are the Rough Country shocks for a 6" lift...but I had relocated the rear lower shock mounts up on to the middle of the axle housing, and I have BPE on the top. This gave me around 4" of clearance, but in turn that reduced my up travel by about 4" and the BPE also takes away another inch. So yeah.. with that setup in the rear, I mocked up the stock shocks and they would give me plenty of up travel, but I would be limited in my down travel to about 3". SO I'm gonna just wait till I get her back together completely and go flex her and see where the happy medium will be. ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS?
