Thanks man! Keep your eye out for a passenger fender and header panel for me! ;)

I like it! Once I get my jeep back together I want to buff and wax again before winter!
I figured she hadnt had that luxury yet, and there was some tree sap and crap that had dripped on it, so I figured a scrub down, buffing, and a few coats of wax would do it good for the winter!

Well it was a long day but me and dutch got my 3 link total finish! Man did it come out nice! Have to finish grinding down the driver stock mount as I just kinda hacked it up to get it off as it was already 8:30 lol. Got the job done it 8 hours. Drives freaking awesome! Need to take care of some steering issues but other then that Its great. Thanks again Dutch, you helped a ton, and tell your buddies thanks to as they helped me a little to. Well post pics later tomorrow as now its time to grab som zzzz's

I thought yall was saying stay away from the rustys kit. I changed my mind on that, what is not good about the iro kit? And it is just a start, I will be changing it all around soon as I get bored with how it is (for me that aint usually long). I really appreciate the help, that's why I didn't go with 8in, or with rustys or some place else.

I'd have gone Rusty's but I also would stick with their most basic 4.5" kit with the exception of adding adjustable uppers. Bushings in the control arms, TRE style adjustable trac-bar, 3.5" leafpacks with 1" shackles. A dirty cheap and simple lift with nothing fancy to go wrong. 6.5" is way over kill for 33's and even 35's don't need that much.

We didnt do anything but toss you a few tools. Nice looking rig man Keep it up.

Sheesh. I have a nearly brand new 4.5" Rustys kit on the cheap too....... Ready for someone to bolt on....

IRO has a really sketch design on the drivers side upper control arm for "adjustability". It seriously makes me queasy to think about driving on it, and there have been some reported failures (at jeepforum though, so take it with a grain of salt). It will undoubtedly lift your rig, and since most springs (except yellas ;)) are made in the same place, the springs are likely fine. I just don't like the design and think its fairly crappy. If you don't wheel it too hard, you'll likely be fine and might even be happy with your purchase.

Dutch is right on the bare-bones rusty thing -- their springs, as above, are OK, and from what I've read most if not all of the rustys control arm failures have been long-arms, not shorts. There have been numerous issues with Rusty's "HD" track bar too... Rusty's steering is totally scary, so DON'T do that!

Went to measure for shocks for the rear today and found that they are the correct length... well WTF... Also just had fun hahaha.....

Not that I'd care to give Rusty's any props for any reason, but I do gotta say their latest version of their heavy duty track bar is much beefier than any I've seen up to now. I'd run it on a DD/light trail rig...... if I had to.

Loves me some poor trackbar induced shimmy. :loveu:

I've ran both the Rusty's and RC 650ish$ bare bones 4.5" lift kits and over all I'll take the Rusty's kit over the RC if I were doing it again. Their springs ride better, I never had to warranty out a leafpack from my rusty's kit either, the bushing were quieter, they actually gave me an adjustable trac-bar instead of just having me re-drill the axle side mount.

I didn't have their HD trac-bar, just their basic one with the TRE on it. It broke on me once, well the TRE did not the trac-bar itself. I swapped it out for less than 20$ at a nearby O'reillys. I then decided double nut the jam nut and put locktite on both of them. I never broke it or had it come loose again. Its my understanding they've since gone to an even stronger TRE for it.

I've also ran Rusty's 1" drop HD crossmember and had zero issues with it. It held up great to my abuse and fit just fine. I've used their steering box brace before and fitment kind of sucked there. In Rusty's defense though, on the same rig I later upgraded to Rubicon Expresses HD trac-bar w/ brace and its was equally sucky for fitment.

With any comapny along the line of Rusty's or Rough Country you need to pick and choose exactly what you buy. They sell there stuff cheap, but that means they have to find ways to make the stuff cheap too. I have no experiance with Rusty's flex joints but I've seen first hand how crap-tastic RC's are. Honestly I just don't see them making a good joint that cheaply. But if you stick with the stuff thats simple and low buck to begin with and you probably can't go wrong. A fixed lower control with bushing at either end, a simple trac-bar that runs an off the shelf TRE, etc.

I've also ran both Rusty's and Rugged Ridge steering on my rigs. I liked Rugged Ridges better over all, mainly because of the ability ot adust the tie-rod w/o having to disconnect the drag link from it. However when TRE's had worn out the Rusty's was a simple trip to the local parts store for an off the shelf relacement. the Rugged Ridge one required me to spend almost as much on custom replacement TRE's that I had originally spent on the entire kit. As for steering, I found both setups to be far better than the worn to crap factory stuff.
