What are you doing to your rig - the continuing saga

I was tuning a Supercharger on my pal's YJ yesterday and he had the nerve to complain about the Heep making wierd creaky noises and wind noise from the doors...

Imagine, a Jeep that is noisey. Told him, if you want quiet, drive your Audi...

Sheesh. Noises are how you know everything is still attached. In fact, it is amazing just how many new noises you get when you go to poly mounts. It's so bad... I put the Heep in neutral at stop lights just to reduce the noises. Every interior panel has something to say about it.

After some minor weekend upkeep I found that all welds on the bumper mounting brackets are cracked , Which reinforces my theory that just b/c you can buy a welder does not mean you should , Which in this case previous owner never should touch a welder again ,as he simply butt welded the 1/4 thick mountig brackets to the bumper...WITH ZERO PENETRATION...damn shyt looks like a tack weld ,And he used it to winch (face palm) ...

Removed degree shims..pinion angle is perfect. I need to install the 2" adj shackle because these Alcans flex much more than I expected w/o that extra leaf and already maxed out the OEM shackle.

Your Jeep doesn't need more power or fancy 6spd transmissions. What it needs is cutting brakes and a D300.
