I couldnt go much longer without one and I finally found one. It is a 89 4.0 np231 stock suspension. Now the bad it has a no title(who cares) and a blown head gasket, but it does have new water pump and plugs wires.

Congrats on the XJ Jason, I figured you'd be back in it soon. Will you do me a huge favor though and flip the grille right side up? That bugs the heck out of me :D.

Also noticed, your grill is upside down.

I guess I never paid attention to the grille cause I never noticed it haha
That's because you're so used to looking at a 99 who's grille can't be upside down :D.

Eeeeewwww....looks like somebody had a puke-fest in the carpets...

Lol...congrats though. So please enlighten me as to how in the wide world of sports you expect to have it "FULL trail ready" for under a grand. If your discount is that much...yall's markup is ridiculous...hahaha. When I think FULL trail ready...I'm thinking lift, tires, a locker and probably re-gear, t-case skid, an cb. Might have forgot something but that pretty much sums it up.

some parts have lying around like cb, and lift. Biggest cost will be front locker and tires. regearing is not top of list unless I get a good deal on some 33's anything smaller and I will run stock gears. All body armor will be homebrewed and over time. Our local park lacks in the rock section so not to much to worry about there. When I say full trail ready in under a grand it does not mean total cost of build cause the axles and shafts will be replaced later as well as some sort of custom kit, but to get me on the trail and hang with the rest of them oh yea under a grand.

Cool...gotcha. Gotta get back on the trail...I hear ya. Since you've got the disco axle, are you going to run a front locker before the rear? Even on the 260 joints??? That's what I'm trying to decide right now although I'm planning on getting some 297 shafts soon.

Oh...ok. So it's not your DD then is it. What are you planning on doing for lift/tires???

oh yea maybe I should of stated that this is not my daily driver. When it comes to the lift it really all depends on the tires, I am a cheap bastard and do not want to pat for new tires so I am going to look for a good cheap used set and then base my lift and whatever else I need around that. In a perfect world I would run 4.5 lift with proper bumpstops and good clean cutting and 33 or 34 10.50 tires but I guess will have to see

One more thing anybody got a good set of used tires let me know
