i read a couple old threads about this, but couldn't find a good, solid answer. my right rear shock is attempting(and mostly succeeding) to come up through the floor. i'm going to buy the cross enterprises rear shock hoop kit and it comes with brackets for relocating the lower mounts up in the "middle" of the axle tube. i have decent 135amp mig and can weld "strong enough", just not particularly pretty. am i wrong in assuming i can do this myself? my main concern is tube warpage; is this a real concern when welding on small shock mount brackets? a friend of a friend is supposedly an excellent weldor, would this be better left to him? i REALLY don't want to remove the whole housing just to have some brackets welded on.
