Welding Equipment Advice???

Yeah so after looking at a few more things, and talking to my dad and uncle I canceled the order for the Hobart and I ordered a Lincoln Electric Tomahawk 375 Air Plasma Cutter and got a really sweet deal on it at $1275.00 brand new with a carrying case. I really like the fact that it has a built in compressor as well.

I'm glad I taked you out of that. I was out in the shop tonight, turns out I own the Airforce 250ci. I'm OK with it's limitations because I can borrow a torch for heavier work.

Golden is by Denver right? I will be moving to GJ in April of next year. I will have a separate garage in the back of my house for my toys and tools. Anyone in CO or around that wants to come hang out and tinker or work on their rigs is more than welcome to come by. Just bring beer, lol. I think I am going to add a lift as well. HOA should love me for that. But as far as I am concerned, as long as the building is not bright pink with neon lights they can go **** themselves. They really wont like it when the street is blocked for three hours and the crane is putting my 2600 gallon saltwater aquarium in my house either then.

Unless it's a new development, GJ shouldn't be too bad. It's a little more wild west than the front range where most of us are. You'll be close to some of the best wheeling on earth.

Hey, there are plenty of places up north where we can be non-HOA liberal like. Just not where I'm at. I'm hoping to move in the next year or two so I can get 3 acres and a shop

I don't have an HOA, and my house is 105 years old. If you walk the alleys in downtown COS, it's amazing how many code violations you can see.

I am not in a Development at all. My grandparents gave me 15 acres in GJ two years ago and I am building my place out there currently. It just happens to be on a pretty busy Neighborhood street, but the house itself and the shop will be set back From the street a bood bit and shielded by a row of fir trees.

Yeah, I try that too but the HOA still comes after me from time to time. Just like my wife, its always mad at me. The smile and charm just keep me from getting burned too badly.

Personally I've never been a fan of any of Hobart's products. I seem to have really bad luck with them. Lincoln and Miller are my personal favorites and I usually prefer the more simplistic Lincoln stuff.

This is like saying you've never been a fan of Chevy trucks but love the shyt out of GMC .

Woo-hoo!!!

Good fences make good neighbors. ;)

Yeah I am not one to intentionally try and piss people off, although it does sometimes happen. Just ask my ex wife..lol. Plus I like my privacy and dont want some bitchy neighbor to complain about my use of a grinder or other power tool at 2 am while I am rocking out with friends and drinking.
