We need to weld in a new front crossmember support. I am helping my cousin bring his 2000 XJ back to life. He was in an accident with it 3 weeks after he bought it and he used all his money buying it and he did not have collision coverage on his insurance. The damage was pretty severe but repairable since both frame rails are still straight and only needing a new header panel, grill, driver fender, hood, and bumper along with a few other various pieces. Normally I would be like everyone else and say junk it but the poor kid just does not have the money to do that. We tried to find a 97+ with a bad engine or tranny but just could not find one as surprising as that may sound. We were given a wrecked 96 4x4 for free so we are using as many parts off of it as we can and then parting out what we can and then finally sending it to the scraper.

We really don't any money to pay you more than free food and beer. Or you can take whatever you may need off the 96 that we don't plan to use.

You guys have a welder there? Or would someone need to bring a welder? Got 230Volt?

If there was a way to drag it to here, I could fix you right up, but getting my welding crap up there would be a huge chore.

Well as it sits it is immobile but as soon as we repair a few more things and then it could move around on it's own but not street legal. We also do not have a welder or else we would tak a shot at it ourselves.

Dont have an extension cord for my MIG set-up... But do have a 110volt Lincoln Flux core you could borrow. It works just fine, but it wont be pretty due to the flux. You guys can come pick it up this weekend, and bring it back next weekend. I just dont have a lot of time to do it this weekend. I could possibly come up a weld it for you on next Friday, thats my next day off.

Best I can offer at this point... I live in the north side of Decatur, very close to 285/lawrenceville highway if you want to come pick it up.
