So I finally pulled the trigger on my HD offroad stiffeners, and I'm looking to have them welded up. I know all the cool kids DIY but this is a capability I just do not have (yet). Anyone have any good experiences with welders/fabricators in the bay area? :helpme:

honestly, if you are doing stiffeners you are best off buying a 110V mig and doing it yourself. probably same cost.

Go down to Kings Row in san jose there are always a bunch welders over there.. try a place called Nams welding. pretty fair price and you can hustle them for small jobs etc.. welded up a tool box for me for cheap! so id go drive down there check out a few shops and price them out and go from there.. or pay the big bucks in campbell but a very good shop.. sometimes muffler shops will even weld for u cuz they always want a quick buck..

darn. I'd totally help you out just for the practice but I'm east of sacramento. I'm sure soemone will help you out

Damn thats far but I appreciate the offer... I think I'm gonna go chat up Arabias and see what they quote but maybe next time I'm headed that way I'll hit you up. I'm sure there will be something that needs welding. It would be cool to mess around with mig a bit :D

If you're looking to pay a shop.. Arabias overkill in Campbell is by far the best

Just do the prep work yourself. Probably be 2 hrs in labor to weld so ~$200
