I hope that this doesn't post twice. I hit the tab key and everytime I lose the darn post. Anyway, I want to tell you all about what's going on. I welded my rear D35 recently, and did a write-up on my local clubs site and here on naxja. It has become the "HOT MOD" to do here in my local area. If done correctly, it can save you allot of money. Even the daily drivers in my area are now doing this mod. I know some members that have done this mod, and have had no problems now for over two years. This is probably not the best way to get a locker, but it can really save you some money.
Anyway, I know that this is a Modification forum post, but I wanted to let you all know of the interest that has followed this modification. Even some daily drivers have done this and say they wish they would have done it sooner......... Go Figure!!
For those like myself that are not using our rigs as daily drivers, this seems like a very good Modification..... I really like mine!

Just be sure it is welded solid with 7018 rods. I had mine welded a few months ago, and after 3 trips to Tellico, I broke a spider gear and all the weld came unraveled. But put in new spider gears and welded up tight now, problem solved.
