I didn't really know where to post this but I live in this chapters area so I thought I would start here.

HI, I am new to NAXJA but I am not new to XJs and wheeling. I live just north of Houston in The Woodlands and I have an 86 AMC XJ. I got it bone stock with only 152K miles on it. I installed a Rough Country 3" lift and modified it to 4.5". I run 32" BFG ATs and have no problems on the trails or on the rocks (me and my XJ are algeric to mud). I have been to Gilmer many times, Alto only a few times and I got to this local offroad park call Spring Creek Offroad, but like I said we don't like the mud and Spring Creek if full of it even after 2 months w/o rain.

I am an EMT and I work way more than I want to. I have a wife, a 7 y/o boy and a 5 month old lil girl. We all love to wheel, well my lil girl hasn't gone yet but she loves going to rides in the XJ.

We are talking about joining you guys on the run to Hot Springs. My wife says we really need to go out of town and get away for a lil while but nothing is finaly just yet. I have to see if I can get those days off of work first.

I hope to see you guys on the trails and do some wheeling.

Welcome to the party! We'd love to have you along for the run in Hot Springs. It'll be a great opportunity to meet all the folks in the Red River. We'll also probably be having a couple of runs in Gilmer this year, as well, and potentially one or two in Clayton, as well, so you should be well set.

I just thought I'd drop in and say hello. I hope you can make it for the Hot Springs run....not just so you can have fun, but for purely selfish reasons also....LOL

It would be nice to see an '86 with all of the vacuum hoses and check valves in place to find out what I'm missing and where. The previous owner(s) of mine have done a number on the poor, old beast. Little by little I'm bringing it back to life.

vacuum hoses- check.. check valves.. ummm thats another story...
