My question... I used to have a good website for Stereo and Alarm install information, but since I switched jobs I lost that link and wanted to know if anyone might have some good sites for that.

I've got a Viper 350 Alarm on my '96XJ and about 2 months back I had to pull the dash face off and when doing so busted the toggle swithc on the dash. I finally got everything back together and installed a new toggle switch I bought at RadioShak... anyway... when the toggle switch was busted my alarm stopped working the way it always had. It would still operate the power lock/unluck feature, but the alarm horn stopped working when I'd arm/disarm. It still functions when you hit the panic button, so I know the horn works. It seems like my alarm has gone into 'valet' mode as best I can tell. The alarm blinker dash warning light no longer blinks, it just stays on all the time. I'm trying to track down the codes to reset the alarm, or if anyone knows of a way to do that I'd appreciate it.

Can I simply unplug the 'brain' and then replug it back in and that will reset? I'm having a hard time here. I'd also like to get the second remote control to work as it seems that I've about worn out my primary remote but the second one doesn't seem to be in sinc w/the alarm 'brain' anymore.

Appreciate any help...

thanks for the links and info.

Saudade... I have that users manual, but at one point I had found an online reference that had more details... such as turning off/on features of the alarm. The number of times to push the valet button for auto door lock features and stuff like that.

Might you know where I could find that. The users manual you linked to as far as I can tell just says to take it to a Viper Auth Dealer and have them do it. I'm sure it's something simple... but I can't remember the details on how to do the right precedure.

Again... thanks, got the Valet Mode off and seems my Viper Alarm is back to normal. Also replaced the battery in my remote so I'm sure that helps. :)
