Was driving my 96 4.0 Cherokee down the highway today and the XJ just lost power...

rotor is fine... starting fluid does nothing...

I noticed if I turn the engine by hand (with the key turned to the run position) a relay will kick on...

injectors are firing also if I pull the plugs I can see fuel going into the cylinders

ok this is embarrassing...

I have determined that the first time I looked at the spark I must have been half stupid... cause the spark seems REALLY weak to me...

the arc looks orange...

OK, that explains a lot; the loss of power, etc.

Has to be either the ICM or the coil.

XJNCO mentioned his bad coil in a previous post;
I'd say it's a bad coil.

the coil... not sure why but it looked ok... I think my eyes are getting worse... lol
