I'm considering one of these. Anyone have one? Looks like it doesn't hurt approach angle too much, specs seem pretty beefy, what do you guys think? Here's a link http://www.samsoffroad.com/samsoffroadsto/WarnBumpers.htm They seem to have a pretty good price, too. I think 4WheelParts may have a free freight special going that might make them a better deal?
I looked at getting that bumper also at 1 point. The bumper that I settled on was a C-rok bumper. He has 1 which the winch bolts down in. Thats the 1 I got and so far the bumper has held up to things my buddys ARB couldnt. The best part of the bumper is the integrated steering gearbox bracket. I would give him a close look. PM him and he'll send u picks.

I like the looks of these bumpers, but on a few diffent pics of the bumpers they look alittle unsafe. I had this pointed out to me by others. On one of the D-ring tabs the hole for the d-ring was way way off and the metal was paper thin. That could kill someone! I also wouldn't call them super strong, my 1/2" thick 130lbs. rear bumper is super strong lol!
Here is an example, look at the drivers side d-ring mount the hole is almost throught the whole tab, a few good jerks and BAM!
They have addressed that issue before, and that was a prototype problem that was fixed already.
Their tow points will withstand "jerks" far beyond what anyone will need.
I and my friends have basically tried most bumpers out there, and these are the best built for that low of a price.
FWIW, I have seen one of the warn xj bumpers locally, and like the ARB, I thought it just looked "big," but tougher looking than the ARB. I really like my Hanson and BPI Fab makes one that looks a lot like it, but considerably cheaper. Might be worth checking out... http://www.bpifab.com/bumper/cherokee.htm
Thanks for the info so far, guys. I do like that C-Rok and Ridgid both incorporate the steering box brace, and are customizable. Does anyone know if the BPI ones have these features? I would like to do something like double D-ring brackets on each side to hook up my tow bar, and planned on adding them to the Warn, but then I'd be messing up the paint. I guess I'll contact some of these companys and see what they can do. I need to have it in time for Winterfest or my new M8000 will be staying home. One of the selling points for the Warn is that I could probably have it in a week or so and have plenty of time to customize and install it.

Thanks again, guys. I just got off the phone with Greg at C-Rok. I ordered his LP-1 bumper with the additional brackets to hook up my towbar. This will be exactly what I wanted, and I'll have it in plenty of time for Winterfest. Rev, I owe ya a beer for trying to get this thread back on topic, but I'm glad I was steered elsewhere. I think the C-Rok bumper will have a better approach angle and more strength, and it incorporates the steering box mounting reinforcement.
