Wanted: A/C Delete

My drivetrain is a 1994. I have mysteriously lost my refrigerant or else it is just not effective anymore. I know some people are able to go junkyarding, and I am not, so if someone has or finds an idler pulley and bracket from a no A/C rig from an appropriate year, I would pay a reasonable amount for said parts.

I am not in a hurry at all. And if I was told I can just pull the A/C relay and leave the compressor in place without the hoses and stuff that is in the way.

Dorman part number 34171 is the number for the bypass pulley I used. I got mine from O'Reilly auto. 30bucks iirc.

I disconnected my hoses and all my ac equipment and left the compressor. Nothing is effected. If the compressor is unplugged then it cant be turned on. So dont waste your money on an idler pulley

I did that too, took it less than a yr and it seized while on the trail. Made for a long ride back to the trailer.

Awesome, that part number appears to include the bracket. I figured that would be the hard part. Does that bracket change the belt length?

I'm pretty sure Phil has already decided to install the a/c delete pulley. Maybe he should spend his money however he sees fit?

Wonder what year motors this will fit, wonder if it will fit a 89 renix motor... Ive been goin 2 years goos but nothing says it wont sieze tomorrow...

Renix AC bracket has 2 horizontal bolts. Late model has "pad mount" vertical bolts. So, you would need to swap the late model AC bracket as well for this part to work. There are Renix style AC delete brackets in the wild, but are not made anymore.

So if I went into the JY and found a 91+ motor their bracket should bolt up with no modifications ? Good deal easy enough.

Correct, the bracket mounts the same.
