i know they say always the low price ALWAYS or something like that but do they meen it? i have a coppy of a recept for a set of mtrs for 140 each so will this work there? or will they wus out?
In my experience, Wal-Mart price matches only grudgingly....they seek to have from as many venders as possible, a SKU that is unique to Wal-mart so they don't have to price match...for tires there should be no problem, but be prepared to work for it...
I'd think that would do it....don't back down if they start hmmm and hawing. Wal-mart is a stand-up outfit when pressed, they should give you the match when documented.

it depends who is working at the time... no it didn't work for me, or anyone in the seattle area! good luck, the price has to be recent too, from a local retailer. if its from another state, they most likely won't match! they've cracked down on these MTR receipts. i just got some new rubber last week

i take it you found the receipts from Stewart and Stewart, or the TN walmart

Check Pirate4x4.com for some Walmart and other receipts for some MTRs. I think someone paid $140 or so for some 37's. Also check at Sam's Club, they carry them too and should honor a Walmart receipt.

so if theyre matching the price...why not just get them where theyre cheap? anyone seen the WallMart Southpark episode? I try to stay out of wallmart...cant stand it. I feel like a rat in a maze.
Couldn't have anything to do with the two of them being owned by the same company could it? I'd skip the Wally-World pricing no matter how much better it seems to be...
If they'll honor it, that's cool. I shop there just cause it's one of the few close stores, but I never fully trust a place where a cashier has asked me to help her count my own change!
But why don't you just buy them from the place that sells them cheaper? Is it really that hard to find a place with low prices that you can buy them from?
Don't do it!!! Wal Mart gouges suppliers for the lower prices to pass them on to you. They rip their employees for pay and benefits to make the lowest price. With their record, there is no reason they shouldn't already have the very lowest price, it should not even be an issue. Paying over 1 million Americans and (indirectly) countless Chinese substandard wages just to pass on a few dollars savings to the rest of us. You and I are fortunate enough to not have to work there. For those of us that do work in the service industry, Wal-Mart is a threat to our wages because they are able to influence industy practices. There has been plenty written on this, so no need for me to write an essay about it. Just keep that in mind when searching for a few dollars off. If there is a big difference in price, the local or smaller scale retailer is probably charging too much. If you can find a decent deal with someone more local, go that route and put the money where someone can that can use the extra revenue gets it. Do your part to preserve our good paying manufacturing jobs and fledgling entrepeneurs. Running kinda long here, but I feel it is my moral obligation to support good business practices and living wages.
They will probably tell you that the size of tire you want is not the original size for your vehicle, and they wont sell you that size for lawsuit reasons.(unless your buying stock size then disregard this message)
