Waiting for Winterfest

Well, it is 5 a.m. in Shanghai China and all I can think about is how much I have to do to the jeep still before Winterfest. I am super pumped for my first WF, any good pointers on what to do and what not to do while I am down there? Green trail only, boo hoo, not locked YET.

weld up your 8.25 if that's what you have. Orange trails helloooo!

I just hope I have the money for my tow hooks I want to buy and get them on. I hope to buy them next Friday. Hopefully it will only take a few days to get here from the Chicago area. I really want to wheel my Jeep, but don't want to do it without recovery points (for the record, I am just going to be there, not as a WF participant this year).

I've been counting down since the first of the year, and this is my 2nd... :S

The wheeling is nice, but you'll soon learn its the people that make it amazing!

I know what u mean, I am building a front bumper when I get back, yikes. I have the brackets and steel, just need to do some fabricating.

Did you get that stuff yet? You missed a lot at work so far. Joe tell you about Mondays test?

lockers arnt needed at badlands to run alot of the trails. I ran orange open/open with 31'' mt's

Yes, But a locker is a suggested requirement for Orange for the NAXJA run.

What is going on here.?

This is true, I did it as well. Granted I did take alot of the bypass routes, but I still did it. It is RECOMMENDED by the Winterfest staff that at least one locker is needed to run Orange. However, after the organized runs held in the morning, you can try your hand at Orange later on. I'm sure there will be a few rigs that don't meet the Requirements that will try their hands at that trail.

They will be required for the organized run. THe goal is to have Jeeps that can complete the trail in the time allotted so we can all meet at the quarry for the group photo/lunch/wedding.
