Re: OFFICIAL October 2010 ROTM submission thread

Same here, I think most of the clunker owners did... also fine with more than 5 rigs even if it means my finely constructed street machine does not win :roflmao:

Speak for yourself. I plan on winning this.

Nobody can beat my camo rear tire setup.

BTW, Karen is a paid member... BlueDog23 is her screen name...

Dunno, my intense jackstand-aided wheelies may provide stiff competition. But I think sam's suspension delete kit has us both beat.

Re: OFFICIAL October 2010 ROTM submission thread

Mine has rescued several naxja members from riding the flatbed of shame home, and nearly gotten me kicked out of a drive-in car show. Serious business.

Re: OFFICIAL October 2010 ROTM submission thread

Mine was my dads. He bought it new.

It has rescued me more times than I can count. It met it's end when he pulled a stupid move and tried to make a left in front of a Toyota Sequoia that was doing 40 MPH. He still valiantly drove itself on a flat bed trailer for the ride home.

Then we tried to roll it several times and it just wouldn't give up. I should also say that since we didn't want it to spill oil everywhere we drained it out. It ran and ran and ran...at least an hour maybe more with no oil in the engine. I bet I could go start it now.

Beat that.

Re: OFFICIAL October 2010 ROTM submission thread

I think cmelo's did, only needs oil changes every 50 thousand miles :roflmao:

My turd has driven to new jersey with only a quart and a half of oil in it!

Same rules as always. First 5 red letter names will be voted on.

or not? :dunno:

Re: OFFICIAL October 2010 ROTM submission thread

All those stories are great, but mine's better... I rescued my Jeep from an unsavory band of dealership pirates with a void cheque and a reasonably priced ball point pen (take that MacGyver). I spent the following 6 years negotiating my way through a series of upgrades that go against the laws of physics, the pillars of theology, and this forum's most delicate sensibilities (in other words, I didn't lift it). Than I bribed my way into this contest with forty-seven dollars and fifty cents of cold hard American cash.... that's well over fifty dollars Canadian for those keeping track. A more awe-inspiring tale has seldom been told.

Re: OFFICIAL October 2010 ROTM submission thread

And yes I know there are more than 5 entries, whatever...

Any more interested in submitting their rigs? The poll won't open until Monday.

As with everything in life there is a point where things can get taken too seriously. About that time is where you usually stop having fun. Its all in good fun for me, and it seems a few other people around here feel that way as well.

Re: OFFICIAL October 2010 ROTM submission thread

I'm curious whether my entry on behalf of Karen/Bluedog23 is acceptable...or do I have to tell her to go to a local library or somewhere with Internet & post it for herself?

I'll accept it-- any entry with the name "Shorty" in it gets my vote:smootch:
