One of these days Doug will have doors to go with the B pillars!

if i wasn't breaking joints i was cracking caps out and shearing off shaft ears...... after a long painful endurance with stock shafts and joints im of the opinion that its not worth building a 44 without putting chromos and some kind of superjoint in it (bobby long 300m joints are only 300 a pair, cheap peace of mind FWIW) plus most alloy warranties are null if a stock joint breaks first

I'll keep that in mind. You're running 35s?

With 35s stock stuff can hold up if you aren't too heavy footed, but in all honesty, if its wheeled hard at all, I wouldn't waste time with stock joints ESPECIALLY if you can unlock the hubs for street travel. On a D30 you are pretty much stuck with spicers if you see any street time at all. The high speeds and lots of turning play havoc on any time of real super joint.

Yeah, I'd heard that. I've got a brand new set of 760's. I'll probably run the old worn out stock shafts with the 760's till they shatter, then buy some chromos and super joints... I mean, I can get chromos for 300. Then the super joints are 300. With a D44 4.56 pinion I would assume the hubs become the weak link.

pretty much.... expect the stockers to go quick mine only lasted cause the motor was sad and tired... the 4.7 changed that, after that i went through a set of shafts a trip

If you are going to have s et just waiting around, then you might as well go ahead and put them in. The stockers will break at the most inconvenient time, guaranteed!

he's right.... my stocker breaking at the cove meant i was done and had to drive all the way out on 3 wheels in the rain.... not fun
