so i'm starting to window shop for something for jana to drive that is a little more economical than our 6.5 diesel.

i've decided to either get a small BMW or Rabbit convertible or a compact SUV

something smaller than a cherokee.

i prefer a soft top and would consider a removable hard top, and to a certain extent, even just a plain ol hard top rig.

so far i'm really leaning towards the geo tracker/sidekick but surprisingly they are almost worth as much as a clean, unmolested samurai.

i've also considered an amigo but then thats right at the border line of too big.

any ideas on some small SUV's that i should be searching for?

congrats on becoming a sponsor!

What about a Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute or Honda CRV. There are lots of used ones out there.

crikey! i'm not loaded.

i was looking around the 1000$ range.

found a couple deals but they come just as fast as they go most times.

i'm also depending on the settlement from the datsun too.

Blue looks good on ya.

The Honda CRV is a good one if you could swing it.

4 cyl 5 spd 2wd XJ. The last one I had pulled 25 MPG regularly.

Not bad for a jeep!

You might want to consider an old Subaru Forester. AWD, reasonably durable, decent if not great MPG, lots of cargo space.

I don't want to even imagine a Rabbit convertible in the snow. *shudder*

my homeboy just sold a pretty nice geo tracker for $700 a couple weeks ago. he regrets letting it go, because the xj that he bought with the money is broke down now, and he never had trouble from the tracker.

wing Nut.. werent you like unemployeed like a month ago.. looking for work and now your blue and looking for a new ride..?

What are you, with the unemployment office or something????:dunno:

affirmative.

and its just window shopping right now.

i'm blue because you can't sell things without reaching people, and even being blue brings more business from the peeps that ALREADY knew you were starting a business because it shows you're supporting the forum.

and if you read the sponsorship section you'll see that becoming a sponsor doesn't always require a cash payment.

fret not jeepgeek i'm still strapped for cash.

welcome to the club, my friend. at least we're all poor together :D
i gotta come up with a plan to mount my tires...(which i had to get for free, because i'm so broke, for the jeep that i have less than $300 in, because i'm so freakin broke.) oh well.... good luck on the car search. that tracker would have been good for you guys, but it had over 200k miles on it, which a lot of people don't care for.

Wheres that Sarcasm font at? i looked everywhere for it!!!
