1987 2.5L 4x4 dana 30 and 35 no aftermarket changes to driveline since owned by myself.

OK, I had my AC compresor replaced along with some other AC parts and lines. I did a search but came back more confused.

It seems the mechanic has moved, disconnected or did something to my vaccum lines?

When I am at idle or slow speed my 4x4 light is on but my AC works well. Give it gas and the 4x4 light goes out but then the fan only blows from the defrost vents?? It actually seems like maybe it's engaging the front dif... is that even possible?

First I'm asking for a diagram for vaccum and secondly how may I tell if I have a vaccum activated Dif??????

I am will ing to buy diagram from a source.

Any HELP appreciated... faster the better ;) I'd like to use the jeep this weekend.

I think that for the front to engage, you'd actually have to shift the TC.

I guess you could be talking about the actuator on the axle engaging. It is located on the pass. side of the axle housing. It's kinda easy to tell if you have one. If you have vac. lines running to the pass. side of your front axle you do.

What TC do you have? Is it the vacuum 242? And Ian is right... for a change... If you have the dico front axle, with it being an 1987 XJ I would say you do. It could be engaging that too. Vacuum lines can make you loose your mind... but wait untill you figure it out then go crazy.
