Thanks to Mr. Government I will finally be able to afford to put some air underneath the jeep and am planning on going to opening weekend with some buddies...I know it's a ways out but anyone planning on going? I'll be lifted locked and ready to wheel for the first time!

Won't know till it gets closer and I see what work looks like.

Where in Harrisburg? I just moved from there a month ago and still have a couple of friends up that way.

I refuse to go there on opening day way too crowded its like sitting in traffic coming from downtown going on 77 at 5 pm just no fun and people all over each other. Personally if you wait a week or two you'll have more fun.

So Yeah whats this Harrisburg stuff and were you been hiding lol. I'm there just about every other weekend with friends.

I'll hopefully be heading over there, maybe a CLT area run? I know I'm new but I'm aching to see what the new axles can do. I'll even put on the bigger tires!
this weekend is xj maintenance weekend, and super bowl....

x2. I will try and go in April on a Satureday but not opening weekend.

Just moved from asheville back down to h-burg in december. My buddy has gone every opening weekend since he can remember so it's kind of a tradition for them and I was invited to tag along so why not! Definitely wouldn't mind going soon after also enjoy some trails when there's a little less pressure!

This won't be my first time up there just first time with my own wheels :yelclap:

I'll be headed up there. Not sure about opening day though, as they seem to be extremely crowded. . UNCC, I think we may share at least one of the same friends. One of which used to have a straight axled 4runner, but has sold it for a 4 wheeler. I am trying to get Jeff to buy another rig, but not budging to well. haha. Maybe it'll bite him again soon.

Ahhhh yes...Jeff. At least he made a smart move getting rid of the Mustang for the tow pig. He'll always be a Jeep man at heart, whether he admits it or not lol.

Yea, I dunno, when I first met him(actually used to work for the same company in Raleigh) he had the Hardbody and I had my ranger. When I started at UNCC, he wasnt really into Jeeps and neither was I. But having a Jeep is like getting bit with an addiction. Im sure he'll come around. im gonna call him after work today and give em crap, its about that time anyway. Either way he'll still be at Uwharrie, whether its on a quad or Jeep. Cant wait, its been to long since ive been and these mud trails around here are getting boring.

Anyone thinking about going? Im aching to get out to use 4 wheel drive (lived in FL for a year...)

kinda far out right now for me to plan, but I also normally decide on a Friday at 8pm that Im going the next day. ha. Im feeling April 23rd and 24th. Gives a little of time for the trails to "die" down from all the traffic. Good date for anybody else or would you like it sooner?

OH and to answer this:

You should be fine. Im on 4.5", 31's, open dif on the HP D30, 3.55 gears, and the rear C8.25 is locked sponsored by Miller. I've been over daniel(hardest trail) and only came back with a few dents. I also wheel pretty easy since I have to drive it home.

Charlotte.

New to the area and I'd just like to get the tires dirty and see what the stroker/geared axle combo provides for fun.

When? There is a Gulches ride on the 19th I do believe.

hmm. 2 hours is a touch farther than I thought.
I'll have to talk to the wife

Been here about a month or so now. We both relocated for work.

I'll be going up on opening weekend, and I like to ride on the trails at night while there's no traffic. Plus it's cooler on the rig at night so my trans and eng stay cooler. what days is Uwharrie opening this year? I tried their website but it was down the other day.:thumbdn:
