So. Sounds like I need to do tie rods. Never done them before, but doesn't seem too crazy. Thoughts?

Lots of time pre-soaking the adjuster sleeves with PB Blaster or other kind of penetrating lube....... they're no fun to try to get to turn without it.
You'll want a pair of large pipe wrenches too.

It's rack and pinion steering, super easy. It'll have wrench flats where it attaches to the steering rack.
