That is funny. Ya know I had a dude in GA try to sell me that Chili Pepper Red XJ that had the leaf sprung front....maybe 8 inches of lift...he said he'd been driving around with no rear shocks for a while...he just didn't have time ...and it was no big deal....hmmmmm

yeah i used to wheel my xj with no rear shocks for a while. but the wheel hop started getting pretty bad

If that 8" lift was most/all springs (not blocks), the rear leafs would probably be very curved and not have much flex. With stiff springs, it might not be as terrible as regular springs would be. Still... pretty silly.
