Sounds like the vehicles need to have some sort of internet connectivity to make the hack these guys discovered work, it's an easy fix if you're looking at a new car that has the potenetial to get hacked.............just don't get the internet service in the vehicle and it shouldn't be affected.

Considering land Rover now has an app where you can drive your Range Rover with your phone, this is going to start happening more and more

Old news, or maybe this is just news to old ppl...

This, although there is a guy bitching up a storm on the Chrysler 200 owners forum over this.......claiming that he'll sue FCA and the hackers if his '15 200 gets hacked and generally getting all drama queen-like on the matter.........I told him if he keeps it up, we may have to buy him a Snickers:laugh3:

nope.

there's an exploit using the DAB system too that will be shown @ black hat.

That one will be the awesome one, the ability to affect any number of cars in range of your FM transmitter.

I looked into it because my 2015 Dart I bought from my dealership (I work on them) has nearly identical electrical controls as the KL.

Luckily, the Dart has a slightly different (older I guess) version of the radio and isn't as hackable. Neat
