I am still in as long as I can get the rear end fixed. I snapped a cross pin. So if i can get that fixed (looking at putting a full case locker in the rear end rather than putting in another cross pin and spider gear setup)

I have an open carrier in the garage you can have for cheap if you want to save some duckets and put an aussie in it.

Well, then just put the spiders and a new cross shaft back in it!

ORRRR, i just found out that i can go with a PowerTrax No-Slip locker that works with the LS carrier in my 8.8" its around about 250 bucks more than the aussie, but is a true locker and would be an upgrade from what i have now

Found one at Jegs. There are two different cross shaft sizes 3/4 and 7/8 they range from 508-515

ok there is a 3127 and a 3128 for 31 spline LS 8.8 axles:

The difference should be the size of the cross shaft.

lol 3128 is the one made for the LS Carriers

yes but the 3127 is too but has a smaller cross shaft. It came in the pre 86 trucks.

Gotcha, my 8.8" is from a 97 ford explorer. so i think i still want the 3128
