I have an older 60" Sony DLP that seems to have gone out. I replaced the bulb in it a couple years ago and was working great. No out of nowhere it looks like this:

That's sweet! That's a keeper. Don't fix it, it's not broken. But maybe you need to take some psychedelics to appreciate it more?

perhaps the color wheel stopped spinning? i have the same tv, they're dirt cheap on craigslist. cheaper than the parts i would guess.

I used to do TV repair. Unfortunately, it was 100 years ago, back when parts were actually available. i think the biggest problem will be finding parts, since manufacturers don't care about supplying repair parts.

It almost looks like the set went into a test pattern. Otherwise, something in the horizontal oscillator circuit may have gone bad. Again, fix would be simple, if parts were available. Worse, I'm guessing the entire TV is on a single circuit board these days. The suggestion to look for a Craigslist set might be the best one.
