Look too generic?
Who cares if it looks generic if it works. Generic is better than nothing.

I think my prefabbed cage looks great. :dunno:
I'm not sure what you think looks so bad about it. It looks just like any other interior custom built 8-point roll cage. Most folks think I built it.
What would you have done differently?
Last I saw your Jeep it didn't have a cage in it. Have you since built one?
I don't know what I would have done differently, I've never seen your Jeep. Personally I think pre-fab cages don't look good. Not enough triangulation and too generic looking. Square boxes with little style.
Last time you saw my Jeep? Didn't know you ever have. I rarely post pics on this board.
I have a 6pt. interior cage. Completely custom dash....the works. WAY more than I could possibly describe.
I didn't mean to insult your choice of cages. It's just my opinion.
A lot has changed.I'm not insulted I just don't understand your opinion. Well I don't know what to say, it's just an opinion. There's nothing wrong with a prefabbed cage. Actually the lack of triangulation isIf aesthetics are the only issue then the Jeep probably shouldn't be on the trail.
What I've seen of your Jeep wasn't on this board and apparently it was a while back as there was no cage present.
They could use some more triangulation. I agree with that.
I've added 2 harness bars and a huge X behind the front seats.
That was/is my main complaint. If you've added tubing, my statement no longer holds water. If you show me a pic of two of your, I'll send you a link to my blog.

I don't really have a good picture of my cage. I'll look for one.
If you're going to put time, energy, and money into your cage, don't just rush and put a pre-fab cage in there. Take your time and make it look right.
Personally I care what my Jeep looks like. If you don't, that's your choice.
You'll have to excuse my wife's finger gesture and the fact that you can hardly see the cage in this picture but this is all I have for the moment.
Tho, my Jeep isn't nearly as pretty as yours.
