So I got a guy locally to make me some tube fender flares. I was tired of the crappy plastic stockers and didnt want to pay what bushwacker was asking for the flat flare fenders. Thoughts and comments?
Theres like a lip where you put like 8 bolts through and screw it to the fender like the stock ones do. Also I put a piece of sheetmetal on the inside of the fender to help distribute the mounts out a bit. Im not really wheeling this jeep that hard, I have to be able drive this daily and keep it legal. Was gonna get bushwackers like I said but these are better.
I guess if I ever decide I want to wheel my rig hard I could get some quarterguards made and burn these fenders into them. Doesnt seem like it would be all that hard really. These should serve my purpose since I daily drive it and I only go to Uwharrie maybe twice a year.
Should of trimmed the fenders first. Now when you do decide to trim them these will be useless. Other then that I like the way they look.
I have thought about tube flares but then I realized my tires stick out way to far and I think it would look funny with 5 inches of tube sticking off the side of my jeep.
I can still trim the fenders and move them up, these are bigger than stock ones and kinda like the bushwacker ones, same size really, just not as wide since my tires dont stick out that much anyways. I had a buddy bring his rig over for comparison. Also I think I'll be sticking to 31s for a while now. I dont want to drive a ridiculous rig for a daily. Also im not on NC4x4 so idk if its the same guy or not.
