Truck haven meet & greet

So hey, what's the word on John? Did you guys get him fixed? Did he make it home safely? Towing that trailer, even with a mended trackbar had me a little concerned and haven't seen anyone mention it yet.

They did reshape it, put a rod inside and used angle iron to brace it outside. It actually looked pretty beefy. They got back later than we expected, had to pick up material and a battery. They were going for a run this morning. Thats all I know so far.

That track bar can hold up his jeep...If you ask wheres the BEEF, i am going to point at his frontend for now on..
My grandkids want me to work on there quads, i have to install some stuff they got from us..So i couldn't go back out today...

HEY !! it's now a Desert Billy Tr.Bar... bury it in the dirt as a winch point... club the Taliban with it or just use it as intended it will work till another is built... then the Franken Tr. Bar will need to be placed on a hill in T.H. as a good luck shrine...
John's probably out enjoying it right now carefree without a worry... who knows... it might drive BETTER now... :D

Curt

Gold Shackle... How I miss thee...

So we help out this Samauri that was about to go overboard on the climb up to the Phonebooth. Just a quick tug got him right. His buddy unhooks the strap and takes my shackle / receiver block. I'm sure it was a mistake, but with the price of gold these days who knows.....

Carol, if you have a picture of the "suspect" please post it up. Maybe they will fess up. I really needed it to hook up my chains for the flat tow on the way home. I had to improvise.

I had a blast with you guys today. Thanks for having me along!

I'm glad you all had a great time.
I certainly enjoyed the time I spent out there on Friday night.
Still need to get my son's front axle fixed so I can do these runs with you all.
The sand dunes were fun, but it has gotten to the point of doing the same thing every time out.
I need my rock buggy done....no two trips are the same with a rock crawler!

Well, the track bar held up on our "mello" run this morning. I just couldn't resist taking some awesome lines and ended up putting more stress on that trackbar than I had previously. It held up just fine. I am planning to go to a straight track bar before long so I will enshrine this one at the top of a hill as a testament to the inherent goodness of NAXJA peeps

I am glad you got to have some fun before You and your Son had to go home. Your Boy was a trooper while Dad was gone, very well behaved for someone so young. The repair you two did looked pretty Beefy to me. Hope to see you next time and we get to wheel longer.

Truckhaven was a blast-
Special thanks to The Mayor for helping out Jeeper John.
It was nice to meet a few of the Desert Rats too.
Great weekend :yelclap:

Great turnout, great wheeling, great weekend!

And Kirk, sorry to hear about your shackle--I didn't take any pix of the Sammy, but tonight I will look at the pix I took & see if I can see any identifiable markings.

Oh, I forgot to mention, if you would like a pic of your truck going through the arch (the one's I posted), in high res, shoot me an e-addy to [email protected] . I'll send you a high res JPEG that you can take to costco or...whatever. Now I do not know everybodys truck to face to screen name yet, so "it was the white one" is not going to work. Please be specific. :) And these are big enough to make a poster, so let me know.

Don't forget your creditcard number, exp date and...PSYCH!!
