Trivia question

What is the name of the second city in Kentucky to have electricity?
How was it produced?
What was the profession of the gentleman responsible for it?

Thought this would be an easy one for BigAlpha...

No big.......I know nothing about that stuff, I just like to go caving...

Since there seems to be no takers:
1.Horse Cave, Ky
2.Used the spot where two underground rivers (streams) converge to pump up water and make electricity. Accessed from the large sink hole entrance to a cave.
3.he was a Dentist.

For any fans of Dirty Jobs you might remember seeing the cave, Hidden River Cave, on an episode. (the one where he gets temporarily stuck while crawling).
The cave has an interesting history attached to it.

We took the tour on a local road trip through the area.

Horse Cave is near Cave City and Mammoth.

I believe that one is Lost River Cave. Hidden River Cave is a short walking tour. The cave stretches much farther but they are limited because of Kentucky's law regarding ownership of cave areas. Basically if you own the land you own everything under it, no matter who owns the cave entrance.

I never knew there were that many show caves until we hit the Kentucky line. I think half of the people in southern Kentucky must operate caves with tours, LoL.
