hey guys, i'm in a bit of a jam. as soon as i got my new waggy motor running right, the transmission crapped out on me. i got to drive it all of 3 full days, and now when it gets to operating temp, it won't move. seems like my luck. there's a huge puddle of fluid under it, and it smells burnt.
do any of you know how to rebuild a mopar tourque-flight 727 transmission, or know someone who can? i don't want to take it to anymore shops where i don't know the people there, or know someone who does, but i don't want to spend more than a grand, even if i have to pull it out myself and take it to somebody. as of now the jeep is on craigslist, just to see what people will offer, but i'd really rather fix it, since i'm already balls deep in it financially, and i know i won't get my money back out of it with a bad transmission.
EDIT: Ed, you totally called this one. i drove it for a couple days without the throttle valve linkage, and then hooked it back up. it was great for another couple days, then took a crap on me. i wish i had known how to hook it up and adjust it the day i drove it home! it took 3 days to get someone on the fullsize forum to explain it clearly. i guess that was too late.
