86xj, 2.5l throttle body injection, ax-5 with a NP-207 transfer case. Transfer case has a harmonic howel at about 25- 30mph in 4wd HI, quite in 2wd. I suspect the output shaft bearing is going bad. Any body know if a NP-231 from an 87 or later 4.0l xj will bolt up(spline count?)and can I use the existing drive shaft?
