Currently my little lowboy trailer has dexter 3500# axles. Surge brakes on the front axle that don't work. I would like to add electric brakes to the rear axle for now and convert the front axle later as well, Does anyone know of a "kit" ? I've been looking on eTrailers. And found the main drums an whatnot for cheap. But what else is left to do.. My tow rig is already setup with a controller

Thats pretty much what you need right there. Just need a set of drums that match those brake assemblies and will match your spindles. After that its just running some wire. You should double check that the bolt flange on the axle will match your new backing plates. Most of that stuff is pretty standard though.

If you wanted to be really certain you could pull your hub off your old setup and take it too your local rv dealer/trailer supply and have them get you the right stuff. Cost a little more, but if they get the wrong things then its their fault.

So, Since its time to do bearings anyway (its been a few years..since before i owned it) am i missing anything? I have found that there is alot of step-by step help if i search hard, Does this list look good? am i missing anything?

Scott I have everything you need for both axles but new bearings. Pm me if you want them I will sell everything for cheep. Also pm me the bearing numbers I can get them for dirt cheep also.

I don't think I'm going to build a trailer from scratch anymore. I think I'm going to convert an rv frame again.

Dave, Everything in the picture you quoted, showed up on my doorstep today..

I would be interested in a set for the front axle, but it's low priority right now, so throw out a price and i might be interested, Hell.. I'm already there right!
