I traded my wheeler XJ for a YJ. Still love the XJs but it was time for a change. Now to find a DD XJ ;)

I drove all the way to McAllen texas to swap.

The trip meter for the whole trip rolled to 2222.2 when I turned on to my street! That is a very long drive. We left on saturday around 6am and got back today(monday) at 12:30.

With some minor adjustment to the garage door I got it to fit ;)

Need to replace the seal on the steering box but other than that I could wheel it! But of course there are things that do need some attention. Like not having any stop lights or headlights  Not having a working spare propane tank ;) And many more ;) but on with the pics! :D

Well I was able to get it inspected. They had to add a VIN plate to the dash since it was missing, but since it had the firewall one it was ok. Then I went to get the title and since tx does have the selling price I needed a bill of sale, but the lady was cool and let me write one up without the sellers signature on it. If everything goes through I will get the title in the mail. If it doesnt I will get a letter explaining what other hoops I have to go through. So we will see. But took some more photos today.

looks good Blake, now I hope to get your other YJ for my own evil purposes!

Let the air out of the tires to get it in the garage.

Looks good!

or try it again after eating that Bacon surprise your having for dinner :D That ought to help get the suspension to compress a little bit!!

that yj is cool

Thanks I think so ;)

what is it with you XJ guys trading off to rigs with frames under them :dunno:

Blake, let me know when that other YJ becomes available :D

I know, I know Josh...Mr. Movie Star now and all :D I am wanting to start another project, but I am keep the XJ regardless of my next build...I have a 91 Nissan x-cab 4x4 p/u that I thought about doing a SAS on and linking it, but it needs the tranny rebuilt and that is almost a grand!!! So, my options are still open......

Pics? What you want for it :D

not yet, I can get some though. We actually have 3 Nissan chore trucks around the farm and 2 of them are out of commission due to tranny problems (and one of those was in a head on collision w/ a pumper truck, so it has a "few" other problems :D ) This extended cab is a decent shape truck but the tranny is turning out to cost more then the truck is worth. I have been looking at the options of other power plant/tranny combos for it. Would be fun to SAS the front, dove and bob the rear, exo the cab and wheel it for a change of pace....whel base should be decent :dunno:

sorry for the thread hijack Blake :D

Looks good man! I am gonna miss it but I am loving the cherokee so far!
