Tow rig - Ford or Chevy

I have a plan Yella don't buy a ford and Raptor don't buy a dodge ,and happy motoring

I am just poking fun at Yella......... I know he loves his Truck and former Goat!! Hell, right now I love ANYTHING American because not much is made here anymore! :patriot:

Yeah, all that was in good fun!

Please. Return to our regularly scheduled discussion........ :D

Look at the late 2000's Dodge Quad cab. Basically extended cab with doors. More then enough room in the rear seats, not quite as long as the newer full 4doors. Cummins motor is the only why I will ever go. Look around, they make swap kits for the Cummins into both Ford and Chevy. Even the newer models. Cummins is a true diesel motor. Diesel will get you better mileage and also made to go twice the number of miles as a gas motor. I flat tow the Jeep, and have a 2500 lbs. cab over on my 2001 Ram 2500 with Cummins and pull the passes just over the speed limit and get 12 MPG doing it.

Anybody can pull that crap!! If you really want to prove a point then gather ALL the info on ALL trucks from say the 1920's till now!! I bet we will see WHY Ford is #1 Then!! :conceited :laugh3:

So, uh, you a Ford guy?

When did they finally put 4 doors on those Dodges? Yella?

For a tow rig, Diesel, no question. Better mileage, more power x infinity at altitude, NA engines HURT on the passes. If Ford make sure it's the 7.3, Chevy make sure it's the Duramax and Really can't go wrong with the Dodge.

Something to consider is the ~2000 ford excursion 7.3 L
18-20mpg highway (not towing) comfortable, 45 gallon fuel tank, plenty of room for anyone, and would tow a jeep easily.

Afirmative my friend!! The best will never rest....:spin1:

Damn straight. Oh well, some people will just never learn

But hey, if the OP wants a dually, he needs to check out the F450s.

Go ahead, try and tell me you don't wet your pants a little when you see one of these...
