Great idea, having long flexible lines for the tranny up to the hood.

Okie Terry said:If pictures of your rig end up here with stickers pasted all over it, a tranny cooler sticking out of the hood, and 500 pounds of junk strapped to your roof, it'll probably get the same rash of shit he did.
Good luck with that.

THIS IS A SIMULATED IMAGE OF THE DESIGN OF MY DREAM XXXPEDITION VEHICLE.
THE RIG SHOWN IS A RELATIVELY MILD VERSION OF THE DESIGN WHICH (SO FAR) EXISTS ONLY IN MY HEAD.

If you have ever been on a longterm trip, you know that there is never enough space for gear.
On our 6-month journey through the states I have designed and redesigned the ideal rig many times.
The main criteria: maximum interior space with maximum off-road capability.
A six-wheel drive vehicle is the perfect solution. You get additional space without compromising the short wheelbase. This way you also get the advantages of a short and a long wheelbase. For better maneuverability of the lengthened truck on tight trails the rear axles are steerable.
In contrast to this picture the custom front and rear bumper are equipped with a winch, and the roof rack is custom built.
The dashboard is removed and replaced with a painted tube/clear aluminum panel construction, which is more rattle-proof than the stock dash.
There are still countless details which I would like to change or add, but I could just go on forever.
Well, if you and I are really lucky, you might just see this head-turning beauty one day.
Would you drive from Los Angeles to Alaska and back with only 1 spare of everything?Ivan said:I mostly question the need for two spare tires as shown on the covershot...

It amazes me how ignorant some of you are... hasta
