A bad trigger?

I took it back to the store and they gave me a new one in replacement...that one did it too. So either a bad trigger or just a cheap product...I vote probably a cheap product.
And I took a pic of my IR trigger last night and completely forgot to post it here. Gimme a bit when I can get to a puter that I can access photobucket and I'll post it.

On the compressor petcock, do yourself a favor, and use some 3/8 brass nipples and elbows to bring the valve out to the front. Add a ball valve on the end and viola! No more reaching into a spider nest to drain the condensate from the tank

So...my drain XXXX turns easily a couple turns then stops turning....I have no clue when the last time it was drained was, but seems to me it should turn fairly easily and then start spitting water right?

Yours looks like mine but i don't have a problem with the trigger yet , knock wood.
That's what i'm thinking of when i saw some big ass compressor with a lever instead of a tiny screw.
Being a complete noob, would you care to post some pics.....pleassssse?

Actually as I looked at mine today when I was using it, the trigger does not pop out like I have it in the picture. I must've manually done that. It does sit close to the button, but performs flawlessly.

This is the ball valve drain I use. It is small enough to easily fit under my horizontal compressor and the handle is very small and easy to turn. I opted to not add a length of pipe that sticks out. I figure, why add another thing to step and trip on or to have hoses/cords tangle up on.

Used the crap out of my ratchet this weekend putting flat fenders on my Wrangler. This tool has single handedly turned me lazy when it comes to using a regular ratchet. HAHA...I can't believe I actually physically turned bolts out before.
Removing all my fender bolts and putting them back on saved so much time and so much knuckle busting with that ratchet.
And having the cut off wheel on my angle grinder made cutting my fenders up a breeze. In other words, good choice IMO going the route of air.

Samger, you got it! On mine I used a 90 pointing straight at the ground after the 90 with a sponge stuffed under it, keeps a puddle from forming
Finally get to put my new air tools to good use

:arrowr:Not much use for the ratchet...with 50ft.lbs max torque, it can't do much.
:arrowr:Loving the impact wrench...kickass power but limited usage as its too big to get into tight places in the engine compartment.
:arrowr:Most annoying thing is, i find it VERY difficult to remove socket (regular craftsman sockets) from the ratchet as well as the impact wrench....i'm hoping the c-clip needs breaking in.
:arrowr:My dog won't hang out with me at the garage anymore, i guessing she didn't like the noise of the compressor.
Still need getting use to air tools....it can be quite dangerous.

You may want to look into getting a 3/8 impact gun, mine has probably made me more money than any other single tool
I knew the compressor was the begining of my never ending tools accumulation :doh:, should have never let you guys talk me into it :doh: just kidding.

I'm the opposite of you BotakBeng, I haven't even used my impact gun yet, but the ratchet I use almost everytime I work on something. For me the gun will only be used for lug nuts and heavy duty bolts like pinion nut and doing lift installs like lower shock bolts, u-bolts, control arm bolts or leaf springs. But everytime there's a small to medium job...heck even lowering the underpanel on my wifes Jeep GC to do an oil change I find a use for my ratchet.

Having to use a hand wrench to break bolts loose then use the air ratchet at first seemed like a crazy idea to me, now that I do it things go so much faster. It is not often that my air ratchet fails to break something loose, but it if does it takes me 2 seconds to use the hand wrench. The air ratchet zips the bolts totally off/on faster than I ever could by hand.
As for the impact gun being hard to get sockets on/off, mine is a little difficult too but I assume that is a safety feature. You wouldn't want the socket flying off at those speeds.
Oh, just wait until you get an air hammer, now that sucker is just plan ole' fun!
