to flare or not to flare?

Thanks for the all ideas, now I've got some decisions to make.

I ordered the Napier flares today. I'll try and post some pics of the process.

I pretty much hacked the sheet metal up, but the first one was the tricky one.

Then I found this!! Now I have to decide what to do, I've considered the cut and fold method, but I have the wrong flares for that. I was planning to just trim the factory bumper caps, but now I am looking for other ideas. Maybe cut out the rot, paint it and cover it with some kind of plating / armor or even diamond plating. But then what to do with the open ended rear bumper ? New rear bumper is not in the budget yet.

Don't know where you're at on this project but if it helps, you can exchange unmolested full length rear quarter panel flares for the QF flares. Just email me and we'll help you out.
