Anyone wanna come lie in the dirt at Tim's fun factory and help install my TnT long arms? It will be hot, it will be dirty, but I will bring beer. Start time is 9AM near 680 and McKee. We'll work until we finish or 4PM - whichever comes first.
680 & Mckee! WTF i use to live by Lake Cunningham... I be so down to help if i was in San Jose (Man Jose). Post some Pic's of the install. I will be installing my long arms &
Hp 44 over the winter.
the factory does not discriminate against tj's.
guys named dave on the other hand...
j/k
hope you can make it.
pm me for the address.
i have tons of parking (over an acre of my front yard is paved)
i'll probably be welding something or other if anyone needs some work done.
i wish i lived close then i could come help out. i threw my long arms on by myself in 2 nights after work last year. . the bitch was getting the giant monster cross member to line up. i know they have made it into a 2 peice since. had to open up a few frame holes a bit wider. a very iterative process when you do it yourself without careful measuring. i am very happy with the cross member alone. that thing is great for pivoting off of on large rocks. you might as well weld up some LCA skids if you havent already. and truss the pass side UCA mount while its all being messed with and youll have the shop and the manpower. im very jealous that over an acre in your front yard is paved knucklehead. my ideal place to live is a 3-4 car garage with a lift and a bed and kitchen in the back. no rooms or anythign needed. just internet access, a huge paved front area and a big garage. that would be heaven. even better since the GF would have to live somewhere else. total peace.
ive had a few budweisers tonight while wrenching on an old narrow track dana 30 with an arb for the willys and my old HP 30. my old hp30 looks like dog shit inside. lots of metal and bearings look bad. super stoked on that one. glad the new LP is trussed and fully locker....
Party at the fun factory! I think I'll make it over for a while. I could really use a hand with installing front hooks if someone is up for it. Might involve drilling some holes, fabbing a spacer or two, and possibly a little welding. I have slightly wrinkled frame rails that prevent the brackets from just bolting up cleanly.
And if anyone has spare caster shims they could bring with them I could use a few. I need to throw a couple behind the stock arms to fix the alignment.
And since everyone will want to work on my junk, I can bring my ZJ steering and MJ shackles to install, too!
I did the TNT y link on my big jeep a few years back and it sucked by my self....it was heavy and drilling through frame stiffeners always brings the suck
