is this a direct swap. I'm 99% sure it is but wanted to make sure. The gears are toast in the front of a friends ZJ and they have a TJ axle lined up for it but I wanted to make sure it fit first.
Yes it is a direct swap... the only thing i would suggest is keeping your steering componets from the ZJ (if its a V8 model) since they are beefier. Otherwise your in great shape :thumbup:
If you can find an XJ axle, that would be a much better route. HP and a direct swap! 95-99 are the best, otherwise ~89-94 w/ABS will have larger U-joints, therefore stronger.

I have a HP but ZJ's came stock with LP's. Her boyfriend works at a wrecking yard so they have a line on a TJ axle. He changed the fluid last night and it got better but i think the bearings are shot in the axle. I told him to go ahead and swap the axle because it'll be cheaper than getting it geared.
