Tires?

HA! bogger vs bfg MT? i didnt know people could compare those...2 totally different classes. BFG mt sucks in mud, good on pavement and hard surfaces..bogger-good everywhere but sand(you have to wing them as they are paddle tires)

go 33" and trim the fenders...if your state likes fender flares..buy the bushwacker cut out...

i voet for the boggers tho :gonnablow

Have a 4.5" lift should i go with 33's or 32's and what are the benifits from ss boggers v.s bfg mt's?
Do you drive on the road frequently? If so, you will hate the Boggers. They wear out quiet quick on the road and ride like crap. BFG M/Ts are decent in mud. If you want a good off road tire that has good grip and rides and wears good on the road look into Maxxis Bighorns. I run them on my Cj and will put some on my XJ when I lift it,

The Bushwacker cut outs will fit on 96+ models with slight modifications. I have them on my '98 4door. As for tires, I love my Procomp Xtreme MTs. When buying tires, consider what terrain you will primarily be running. Is your truck a daily driver? Do you drive to / from trails?

How are those procomps with balancing though? i seem to remember them taking a lot of weight to balance out right...?

Right you are with the balancing issue - one took a good amount of weight, one not much at all, and the other two I would say were a little over average. I am running 33x12.5

33/9.50/15 has got my 2wd places a LOT of 4x4s can't go! (there were 2 at the bottom of the cliff that couldn't make teh corner this past winter. I could've made it the rest of the way with my home made snow chains, but decided not to chance it)

i have an '01 with 4.5" of lift. i am running 32 bfgs and love them. i've had them on trails and in mud bogs and they took me where i wanted to go.i just ordered the bw flares for mine and was told that they will fit any year of xj--there might just be more cutting involved for the newer years unless you take off the bumper endcaps.
