Tires

For research, go to TireRack.com and search by the size you want. Click on the tires you're considering and they give you customer ratings on grip, tread life, etc with customer reviews. Their prices are pretty good as well. I've purchased tires and wheel and tire packages there.

I have no vested interest in the company, just a place I've had good experiences with.

yea these tires will stay on all year. people keep saying that the BFG's AT's are worth the extra money but so far nobody has given any reasoning as to what makes them better than the General AT2's

115K miles.

THAT is why they are better.

80K miles on a 8,200lb truck driven daily on shot rock (very sharp) filled job sites. The rear set could have gone another 20K miles pretty easily, but the fronts were shot due to bad ball joints. I drive offroad daily during the week, then drive over 200 miles home on the weekends. The BFGs are awesome in the dirt and rocks, and do pretty decent in the mud as long as you keep your wheel speed up to keep them cleaned out. They are quiet and ride smooth on the road. They are great in the rain and I've never seen better snow tires. I'm on my fourth set now for work vehicles, and won't run anything else. They are the only tire I trust to make it through the week at work and get home safely.

MTR = Mud Trapping Radials

BFG a/t.. step dad has 85k on his suburban's and they will go another 15 easy

I'm running BFG A/T's, they were somewhere around $120 per tire. I like them! Although they aren't the best in mud, as they clog up. But they are superior on road. So it's a mix - if you DD your rig I'd go with the A/T's vs. the M/T's.

I just bought a set of 33 12.50 15 for my jeep in the bfg A/t Ko. Same thing I had on it but bigger.
